Take you one minute to understand Swiss-type lathes.

Release time:2024-07-23 16:17:28 Popularity:77
Swiss-type lathes are specifically designed for processing slender shaft-type precision hardware parts. For the three-axis and four-axis Swiss-type lathes, only the main spindle is used for processing. For those with five or more axes, they are equipped with back spindle tools and a back spindle. The main spindle and the back spindle can conduct processing simultaneously. You can choose the model that suits you according to the process requirements and size of the parts. The most common types on the market are three-axis, four-axis, five-axis, six-axis machines and so on. Equipped with more than 20 different types of tools, they can perform compound processing with multiple processes and are sharp tools for batch precision processing of slender shafts. The structure of the processing area mainly consists of the main spindle, the sub-main spindle (also known as double-spindle Swiss-type lathes for short), and the tool holder.

  1. Main spindle: It can feed materials back and forth under the control of the system and move up, down, left, and right according to the arbitrary directions of the Z1 axis and the C1 axis.
  2. Sub-main spindle: When moving, it can move according to the directions of the Z2, X2, and C2 axes and can change its movement freely. Its main function is to assist the main spindle in processing and play a role in receiving materials. For the follow-up processing of some products, corresponding processing on the tool holder of the sub-main spindle is required. During processing, a separate control channel from that of the main spindle is used, which can achieve the effect of non-interference with the main spindle. In actual application, both spindles usually need to process simultaneously, and this operation method can effectively shorten the overall processing time of products.
  3. Tool holder: It is divided into four parts, mainly including the turning tool, the side power head, the end face, and the fixed seat in the end face direction of the sub-main spindle.
